Step up transformer STC
EMT pick-up's are MC pick-up's with a low impedance and low output level. If connected to an external equalizer with "only" an MM input (47 kohms input) it is advisable to adopt the level.
This can be made in an active way, like in the EMT 938, or in a passive way, like in the other turntables of EMT.
For the external use a step-up transformer will be a good solution. First of all it needs no own power supply and additional it is said the transformer produces the better sound.
I offer such a step-up transformer combination. Built in a solid metal cabinet.
All contacts are gold plated.
