Vertical tracking angle (VTA) 15° or 23°

Which angle to use?

The VTA of old EMT carts was 15° and may still be usefull today for old records. But since many years the EMT carts are delivered with a VTA of 23°, to play best with modern records.

How to detect the difference?

For the version with 23° the entire system was pivot. The result is a larger gap between the white front shield and the magifying glass. At carts with 15° you will see a distance of about 1mm or less while carts with 23° show a distance of 1mm or more.
At naked carts you may recognize two small knuckles which indicate a VTA of 23°.
